Swedish Massage, also known as Traditional, Relaxation or Western Massage:

The most common type of massage. A combination of long flowing strokes, kneading, friction and percussive strokes along with passive and active movement of the joints. Used most often for general relaxation, but also helpful for adhesions and scar tissue. Improves circulation, organ function and skin tone, reduces swelling, improves range of motion and relieves muscle tension.

Deep Tissue Massage:

Slow, deep pressure used to release tension and restore blood flow and supply to deeper layers of muscles, tissues and tendons. Relieves chronic tension in the body. An effective pain reliever.

Acupressure and Shiatsu:

Based on Oriental healing concepts, these forms of massage involve finger pressure to specific pressure points along meridian lines (energy channels of the body). Pressure to these points releases blocked energy that can cause physical discomfort and dysfunction. Rebalances energy flow to muscles, tissues and organs to improve overall body function.

Reflexology:

This ancient Chinese art provides healing to all parts of the body through the stimulation and working of reflex points on the feet and hands. These points correspond directly to various areas throughout body and are used to relieve stress and restore proper energy circulation and health to distressed areas of the body.

Vortex Massage

This treatment is a combination of the best of Western and Eastern techniques; relaxing Swedish strokes (from subtle to deep), Shiatsu pressure points, and Reflexology. Your body will feel energized the rest of the day and will be receptive to your higher conciousness.

Energy Work or Energy Healing
:

The Japanese word "reiki" means "universal life-force" or "connection to spirit." With this energy healing technique, the client remains fully clothed as the practitioner gently places his/her hands on specific areas on the body. The practitioner then focuses Reiki energy into these various areas so that the clients body may use that energy to heal. The client usually experiences soothing warmth or tingling coming from the practitioner's hands. Results range from deep relaxation to profound mental, emotional and physical healing. Energy Work or Energy Healing is similar to Reiki, with slight variations in hand positions and technique.

LaStone, also known as Hot Stone Therapy or Hot Rock Massage:

Heated stones are placed at various points on the body as well as used to massage the muscles. The heated stones have a deep penetrating effect on the muscles. The client reaches a deep state of relaxation and the practitioner is able to more easily penetrate tight muscles and tissue. It is not recommended for pregnant women.

Aromatherapy:

The use of essential oils, derived from herbs, flowers, resins, woods and roots, to produce a therapeutic aroma that stimulates healing. Aromatherapy may be used on its own or in combination with massage. The effects include relaxation, energy stimulation, immune system support, hormone stimulation and increased circulation. Many oils have been found to be anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral as well.
